Beginning February 1st 2019, we are very excited to announce the launch of a new way to communicate with our patients! The patient portal is a web based system that serves as a secure communication link between you and Parkway Primary Care. When you log into the Patient Portal with your private user name and password, you will be able to access certain information pulled right from your electronic medical record (EMR) at the clinic.
What are the current features?
- Secure, encrypted email messaging to communicate with PPC staff
- Ability to make medication refill requests
- View your health summary and records
- Request updates to your health summary records and demographic information
- Receive results for lab, x-ray and other diagnostic studies
- Ability to make referral requests
- Ask questions about billing issues
Guidelines for using the Patient Portal
- If there is an emergency need for communication, please call 911. If the issue is urgent, but not emergent, please call our office immediately at (512)252-1505.
- Please keep in mind that prescription refill requests take 24-48 hours to be processed.
- Sensitive subect matter will not be discussed on the portal (HIV, mental health, etc).
- Provider questions should be directed to the nurse mailbox.
- We will respond to non-urgent messages within 2 business days.
- All communication will be included in your chart.
- Our system will inform us when your message is viewed.
- A Patient Portal Consent Form must be signed and returned to PPC before you can begin use of the portal.
